I'm sure that there are people out there that would find this book awesome. This one just wasn't for me. Usually I love books about MMA fighters, and also love books about contests or things like that. While this book had both of them, it was lacking in something. I don't know if it was because it was really short, a novella, that the character buildup and plot wasn't enough, or what. I just know that it started out awesome, then all the sudden when super fast. One minute she was looking everywhere for him, the next they were running on the beach together. I didn't feel the chemistry beyond the first time she laid eyes on him. And the 5 year old little girl was way too wise for her years.. My son was in private school when he was five and he didn't talk anything like that, so I can't get behind the "shes in private school" remark. The potential was definitely there in this book, but it needed to be filled out a bit more, with character buildup, with more plot, more stories, more one on one, more reality tv show stories, etc. Maybe a novella fanatic who loves MMA stories would absolutely love this one...but..not for me.
